 Cooking oil balancing Tridosha
Vaat can be balanced by consuming pure non-refined oil (straight from chakki/
machine). Never consume refined/double refined.-saffola, sunpure, surajmukhi as
chemicals used for refining/double refining oils are inorganic and can be very
harmful if consumed on a daily basis.
Use the oil that has smells foul & is slippery. The foul smell is the sign of protein
and the slipperiness of fatty acid. – During the refining process both smell and slipperiness
of the oil is removed which leaves the oil with little or no nutrients – just
Trans fats which can be very harmful. Unrefined oil ranks highest in protein content
after dhal.
Till 50 years back, ghee and oil consumed heavily in our country. The unrefined oil
helps the liver produce enough HDL (high density lipo protein) for the body. HDL
alone can control vata.
Refined oil was introduced in India only a 30 -40 years back & the occurrences of
heart attacks in India are around only 15 to 20 years old. The main cause for these
diseases are refined/double refined oils itself.
All India Institute of Medical Sciences AIIMS, Delhi conducted a study on various
oils being sold in the market ( Saffola, Sunpure, Surajmuhki etc). The conclusion
can be briefed as – “Refined oil has no proteins or fatty acids &Double refined
has the same nutrients as water
Ghee balancing Tridosha
Pitt can be balanced by consuming native cow’s ghee. Avoid drinking buffalo’s milk
or ghee as it is only recommended for body builders.
To cure nasal discharge, Snoring, Insomnia, Bad dreams & Lack or memory – apply
some pure ghee inside the nose. The symptoms will disappear in 3 days...
